Sorry For the Delay....

Where to Sled!

Need a place to sled away? Every town has its own little spot that everyone goes to sled down. Mine for instance in Valley Stream is right by the Parkway. Yeah, SUPER SAFE! But if your new to the area, or do not want to do deaf defying tricks with your toddler- or yourself, here are some great local areas to go sledding. My favorite- Grant Park, even if they did decide to cut off some of the hill with a building :).

Grant Park- Lynbrook/ Hewlett Area
Broadway and Sheridan Ave- Hewlett

Cedar Creek Park- This park is just swell- they even have a place for you to shoot arrows and get your Katniss on. (but you need your own bow)
Merrick Road in Seaford.

Bethpage State Park
Bethpage Parkway Farmingdale-This is where you get to go sleddig on a GOLF COURSE! Awesome

Eisenhower State Park-
1899 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadown NY

Bald Hill- One of the HIGHTEST OINTS ON LONG ISLAND! Near Ocean Avenue in Farmingville

Heckscher State Park
Heckscher Pkwy, on Field on located in East Islip

Hoyt Farm Town Park
200 New Highway, Commack

 Christopher Morley Park
Searingtown Road in Roslyn- I always get lost here, just remember you need to get back to the MAIN road before being able to leave- Searingtown Road just loops around in a circle.

Flower Hill Park in Manhasset- Stonytown Road and Port Washington Blvd

Newbridge Road Park in Bellmore (Off of Sunrise Highway)
